    Set up an obstacle course.
You can have tables and chairs where the kids have to commando crawl, bear crawl or crab walk under and around furniture.

You might want to try yoga. I know it sounds like a bit of a stretch for 3-5 year olds, but we use it almost daily in my Head Start class as a form of relaxation, exercise, and to help develop self-control, and the kids really enjoy it. There are also a lot of fun music cd’s for young children. You might want to get something by Lori Berkner, and just dance. Our kids really LOVE to dance! Sometimes we just put on a rock song like Car Wash or Walking on Sunshine and just dance. They may need to try it a few times to learn to relax and just move to the music, but I bet they’ll love it! Also, don’t forget Duck, Duck, Goose which is a standard favorite with this age group. You might want to try this variation of musical chairs too: there should be a chair for every child in the group, plus a few extras. You start the game by naming a locomotor movement such as hopping (one foot), jumping, skipping, etc. and start the music. When the music stops, everyone must find a chair and sit down quickly. Then give the children a chance to name a movement for everyone to try. No one loses, and you never take a chair away. It’s just movement, music, laughter and fun!

you can use a large sheet and have the kids hold it around the edges and lift it high and have 2 kids run under and exchange places before it comes down. simon says is also popular with kids.

I think you should play Ships and Sailors!
It would be a great way for the kids to learn how to follow directions!
Also, I think playing games like Red Light, Green Light would be good,
    because it keeps them moving,
and it also helps them learn how to follow directions.

yoga is a great idea. Little kids love it–down dog, cat cow, tree, etc. Look at yoga kids ABC yoga. IT is for 3-6 year olds

Kids love animal walks- bear, crab, snake, frog etc.

developmentally they should be learning basic ball skills, jumping, hopping, etc
