I work in an office building on the first floor. In my area there is a fitness center with a mens and ladies locker room (and restrooms), there is a mens single hallway restroom, and there is a mens multi-user restroom down the hall. I am one of 3 females in the area of 14 other men.
Which bathroom is the most appropriate to use? I can cut through the fitness center and use the ladies room there (and risk disturbing the exercisers) OR use the single mens room in the hall because that door locks? Is it illegal or improper to use the mens restroom since I can lock the door?
I spoke to the facilities manager and he said no unisex bathroom there, only mens.

if I ever have to go to the bathroom in public, I ALWAYS use the womans restroom… SO MUCH CLEANER!
Use the single mens with the locking door, no one will care.

I would go for the single lockable one. Just make sure you leave the seat up.
If there is a long line anywhere, and I mean anywhere, to get into the womens restroom, I use the mens. I am not wasting my time standing in line, while a bathroom lies empty not 10 feet from where the line is. It’s also hilarious to see the looks on guys faces when you come out!
If you didn’t work there, I would say go ahead an use that bathroom seeing as it’s a 1 room bathroom with a locked door and no men would be in there while you are in there. However, since you do work there and have a reputation and professional image to maintain, I would quietly go through the fitness centre to he ladies locker room. You are, after all, a lady, and you wouldn’t want people thinking things just because you used the men’s bathroom (even if it is completely harmless).
I don’t think the men will complain too much if you use their restroom.
it is improper to use the mens restroom. I think you should talk to your boss about making that restroom a multi sex restroom so that the ladies dont have to walk threw the fitness centor to get to the restroom

Would it be OK if men use the woman’s restroom; just for convenience?
I think you should make the trip to the ladies room. As a man, I can say, you might not want to go into the mens room, we tend to have some real nasty slobs who know how to “nasty” up a restroom.
Sorry, if I have to go, I will use the men’s single, that is ridiculous and also sexual discrimination.
