Workplace wellness programs get employees walking
Shirley Lucas, an administrative assistant at Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Virginia, credits workplace wellness programs with helping her drop 20 pounds. She exercises regularly at the fitness center at the company’s Staples Mill Road complex. She also has attended work-sponsored classes about reducing risk for diabetes, a disease both her parents have.

I have had 4 complaints made against me in the childcare room I work at. Am I a victim of circumstance?
…..So I work in a childcare room at a fitness center and I just recently got 4 unspecific complaints in verbal form from management that state that the level of care is not good enough.
The budget of the fitness center only allows for one person to work in the room. There can be no more than 6 kids in there at one time. I’ve been having more babies in recently aged 3-7 months that demand most of my attention as they often get fussy. So when I have a crying baby and other toddlers to watch, what am I to do? There is also no enclosed area for the babies so I can’t put the babies out to be prodded and touched by the toddlers.
